Our History

The Tiburon Police Officers Association was established in 1972 following the town’s incorporation by eight years. It first operated from 80 Main Street before moving in the late 70’s into surplus military housing near its present site. In 1999 the department moved into its current location at 1155 Tiburon Blvd.

Since then, the men and women of the Tiburon Police Department have been represented by the Tiburon Police Officers Association. Proudly serving the community of Tiburon and parts of Belvedere, the Police Association represents the rank and file sergeants, officers, and Police Service Aides.

Since our inception, the brave men and women of the Tiburon Police Officers Association have tirelessly protected the constitutional rights, safety, property, and welfare of our communities' residents and businesses alike.

Police officers, their families, and the Tiburon POA are also dedicated to improving our community, YOUR COMMUNITY!

We look forward to being part of a better tomorrow for our community, businesses, and visitors alike as we look to improve and adapt to the ever changing world we live in, no matter the challenges that come with improvement. We would like to invite you all to join us on that journey and come say "hello" at any time you'd like. Our doors are always open!
